I think the packages at kde.org are for woody, not later versions. At any rate, the safest route is to follow the advice at http://wiki.debian.net/index.cgi?DebianKDE Note that KDE on testing or side currently will need a manual assist to install properly; you need the libsensors referenced on the preceding page. Also, if you stick strictly with testing, it may not work. I know testing has a mix of KDE 2 and KDE 3 at the moment, and it may be missing some KDE 3 packages.
