I don't know what update caused this, I have been running stretch for a while, but a couple of days ago I logged in a debian installation and wifi was off. Connman could not get any action. When I used wicd the wifi was turned off, even though right before the last shutdown it was connected and I did nothing to any related settings. I turned it on and everything worked again. I wouldn't have made a big deal about it till I read this message.
