If I were you, I'd take a backup ASAP and double-check whether one of your disks is dying. Perhaps there's some hint in /var/log/messages, It might just be a lose cable. Proceed carefully. If at all possible don't mount your disks read/write until yon know more. (Perhaps boot off an external medium, CDROM or USB stick).
