"insane prices" is what some dealers in Europe expect for the few remaining ones in their stock, i.e. about 300eur. And, what's confusing me most: people want over 200eur on eBay for a used R9-290 which makes much more heat and noise than a NEW RX470 (according to reviews), which is offered for just 10-20% more - however, it didn't become available yet.
