latest jessie kernel (3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.7-ckt25-2+deb8u3), no changes in /etc/default/nfs-kernel-server configs. /etc/exports is /export/backup-n40l bob.clients(rw,no_subtree_check) virt(rw,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check) best regards Ulf
