You are right! Firefox starts without errors with the "firefox" as well as the "exo-open --launch WebBrowser" command even for the first firefox window. It is weird though as all eight add-ons were installed in iceweasel for some months or at least some weeks before firefox was installed in place of iceweasel. I will now install add-ons on the new profile one-by-one to see if I can find the guilty one. Thanks for your help, Dalios
