As outlined by someone else, this is correct for installation images. Live images lack a UEFI boot capability. However be aware that UEFI comes in two flavours on x86 platforms : 32-bit or 64-bits. Even though most if not all UEFI x86 platforms have a 64-bit CPU, some have a 32-bit UEFI firmware (as seen on some notebooks with little RAM and disk space). Also be aware that for the current stable distribution (Jessie), i386-only installation images only have 32-bit UEFI boot capability, and conversely amd64-only installation images only have 64-bit UEFI boot capability. Only the "multi-arch" i386+amd64 CD or DVD installation images have 32-bit and 64-bit UEFI boot capability.
