Greetings;

Mostly debian wheezy here.

New Brother MFC-J6929DW printer/fax/scanner.

Downloaded and ran brother "linux-brprinter-etc" installer, which
downloaded four .deb's:

   mfcj6920dwlpr-3.0.0-1.i386.deb
   mfcj6920dwcupswrapper-3.0.0-1.i386.deb
   brscan4-0.4.3-3.amd64.deb
   brscan-skey-0.2.4-1.amd64.deb

And then installed them.

Printer works ok, but at 5% of the advertised speed.

xsane can't find it, and despite being installed, adding /usr/lib/sane to
the ld.so.conf, and verifying that a bunch of brother.so's are in the
ldconfig output, xsane still is drawing a blank, and locate doesn't want
to show me much.

I feel like I can't see the tree for all the forest here and I haven't
been subbed to the sane list in 8 or 9 years. So if anyone can toss me
a bone/clue, I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks all;

Cheers, Gene Heskett
