Whilst I don't have a systemd "solution" for you.... ;-) .... I do have

If it is KVM, then why not use console from the host machine to the VM?
Then no networking is needed for the VM itself and you can see
everything going on at the console.

Yes, that's what I want to do, but cannot. I do not have console acces to hypervisor, and SSH + networking on hypervisor goes down too early. I usually use VNC over SSH to get console access to guest machines, but I need networking on hypervisor to be working for that.
