Now I have the info I'll try to see if I can help - I got that far and thought: If it is something as simple as too old a kernel we're home and dry. You may get the full answer from someone else faster than you will from me - I am chasing my vendor for enough details about which version of my motherboard I have to enable me to flash it. But I _will_ look into it. I'll also try to tell you what I did!! Here's why I started by asking about your kernel: "This (the problem with the display) was resolved by upgrading to kernel 3.16." You have kernel 3.16, so that is no help. Lisi
