Nvidia GeForce 7300 with 1280x1024 monitor connected to the VGA port, and xrandr -q:
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 1024, maximum 4096 x 4096 DVI-I-1 connected 1280x1024+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 338mm x 270mm 1280x1024 60.0*+ 75.0 . . . 720x400 70.1 VGA-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) TV-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) Note that DVI-I-1 is listed as connected, VGA-1 is disconnected. Is it normal for xrandr to report the DVI connected when the monitor is connected to the VGA? All xrandr arguments, (addmode, newmode, etc.,) should control DVI-I-1, even though the monitor is connected to the VGA, right? Thanks, John -- John Conover, cono...@rahul.net, http://www.johncon.com/
