Hi,
I have a problem with Sid. When system boots up, the disk starts reading and/or writing after a few minutes. This happens during a quite long time (the led of the disk is on all this time). After this time, no system device responds. I can only push reset button and restart the system (after that, the problem does not happen any more, it appears only when I boot Sid the first time). Can anyone help me?

Can you boot off an installer CD or a Knoppix CD with something like: boot: linux root=/dev/hda1
