I am using letsencrypt from jessie-backports -- started only yesterday, but no problems so far.
For those who haven't used jessie-backports before: you may add entries like ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ # Backports. deb http://http.debian.net/debian jessie-backports main deb-src http://http.debian.net/debian jessie-backports main ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ in /etc/apt/sources.list and then you can simply run aptitude -t jessie-backports install letsencrypt Note that this will also install/upgrade several python-... packages from jessie-backports, as dependencies --- not expecting problems from it, unless if e.g. for some reason you really need previous versions of some packages already included in jessie. Best regards jmce
