I'm getting the famous "Error sending message, child exited 127 (Exec error)."
I have *spit* Ubuntu 14.04 on the same HDD and it works perfectly. The .msmtprc files are identical: ################################################ # Set default values for all following accounts. defaults #tls on #tls_trust_file /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt logfile ~/.msmtp.log # The SMTP server of the provider. account default host smtp.west.cox.net from hol...@cox.net # auth on user holtzm password xxxxxxxx #tls_nocertcheck ################################################## The above file was brought over from Wheezy where it was functioning. I was considering uncommenting the tls_nocertcheck line but realized that the .msmtprc file in *spit* Ubuntu is identical. Any pointers would be appreciated. The /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt is present with 644 permissions and owner and group root. Another small detail is that the .msmtp.log isn't being written to. The only other thing that I can think of is that *spit* Ubuntu uses postfix where Debian uses exim4, I think.
