Before recently upgrading to testing, my time was set to CST6CDT. After
upgrading, I chose Central time, and IIRC, it didn't change back to
Standard time when it was supposed to. After
doing more playing with tzconfigure, I finally found CST6CDT under SYSV.
The directory structure for /usr/share/zoneinfo is different under
testing than under woody. I have a CST6CDT in this directory, but it
doesn't show up in tzconfig (unless you choose SYSV). (I hope it
changes OK next spring).
