I'm in (debootstrapped) Sid Unstable on AMD64, but I played along anyway. Mine's default is: Model: Generic 105-key (Intl) PC Layout: English (US) That's on an ASUS 1015px'y Eee PC.. :) It's been a few.... weeks since I last debootstrapped this thing, but something already wasn't gelling in my head about it. Checked my notes and apparently that is the default. It didn't look right with the system having it checkmarked/toggled as being default because it *seemed like* I had manually set that... or something. I must just breeze on through it during the "console-setup" install part of debootstrap... or something. :) Just for kicks am leaving a note here that "dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration" is a step available in a very minimal setup and via the terminal. :) For even bigger kicks, I just reset my keyboard model to Asus, go figure.
