I've got Chrome set in Preferences to "Ask" before running ANY plugin. You can whitelist certain sites to run particularl plugins. Think Firefox/Iceweasel have a similar setting. GIFs still run though. They don't require a plugin. Maybe, NoScript will handle anything else. Or turning off Javascript. Running Wheezy 64-bit. B
