I've thought about building a package, but the source is non-free and so it would never be able to be a part of Debian proper. You'd also need a package specific to your kernel; if I built one, it'd only support the kernel-image-2.4.22-1 in unstable (or possibly have no prebuilt modules at all; many kernel module packages work that way).
