Different terminology. With most distros "update" means what "upgrade" does with Debian. And "upgrade" means "dist-upgrade." Yes, Ubuntu is a different beast. The only experience I have with it is from its debut release years ago. Hated it so much, I uninstalled it a week later and never tried it again. I don't know why people love it so much. To each, his own, I guess. B
