To get back to the reason I started this thread, my goal is to be able to go into a foreign network (most likely all-Windows, but there always is the possibility that someone is running a Macintosh) and come back home "disease-free". Back home, I would like to be able to plug my laptop into my own network, browse and print the web pages which the other guy showed me and I bookmarked, and be confident that in doing so I am not compromising my other machines.
