The great thing about Debian, is that you *don't* have to do a
reinstall. What problem are you having that makes you think you need to
reinstall?
I do all my experimenting on a laptop I purchased used for that
purpose several years ago. It's been doing strange things which
decades of component level trouble shooting gives me a gut feel
not to trust the hardware. Then again there's always random
operator error ;)
