X-skins?

Hello list:   I was wondering where I can get skins for windows-X? I am just trying to get the desktop to look pretty snazzy, I know I seen some people’s desktops where their windows (ie. X-terms, etc) look like they are transparent and have some pretty neat sub menus and backgrounds, is there anywhere where I could get something like that? Thanx!
