What is the output of the following?
egrep -i 'synap|alps|etps' /proc/bus/input/devices
Tweaking the mouse is easy if you're using GNOME, the default in Jessie.
Hit the Windows key, type 'mou', and then hit enter. The Mouse
and Touchpad settings control panel will appear.
