Thanks! I also had to run "zopectl access default" and "zopectl pcgi default". This gets zope to run. But it doesn't quite work yet, because I get memory errors. I'm going to try reinstalling Debian from scratch and seeing how that works (I've been doing it inside UML so I didn't have to change the Debian install I use regularly; guess I'll try a scratch disk instead).
