Please post the contents of your /etc/apt/sources.list file so that we
can see what configuration you are using.

Speculatively (meaning that I am guessing without full information)
let me say that I guess you have something incorrect in your
sources.list file.  For jessie you could use these lines in your file.

  deb http://http.debian.net/debian jessie main contrib non-free
  deb-src http://http.debian.net/debian jessie main contrib non-free

  deb http://http.debian.net/debian jessie-updates main contrib non-free
  deb-src http://http.debian.net/debian jessie-updates main contrib non-free

  deb http://security.debian.org/ jessie/updates main contrib non-free
  deb-src http://security.debian.org/ jessie/updates main contrib non-free

The http.debian.net is a universial redirector and dynamically
produces the best answer for your geographic network location.  It
also validates mirrors and removes out of sync ones.
