First, archive your backup, image the operating system drive, archive
the image, and put the archives off-site.
Do you have an image of your system drive from when it was working? If,
so, restore it and update/ upgrade very carefully to avoid whatever
package(s) broke it. Then build another e-mail server and migrate to it.
If you don't have working image of your system drive, or if you're ready
to rebuild your existing machine anyway:
1. If your operating system and data are on different drives, remove
the system drive.
2. Install a new system drive, do a fresh install of your preferred
operating system, take an image of the system drive, archive the image,
get your RAID working again, install and configure your e-mail server
software, backup your data, image the system drive, archive the backup
and image, and put the archives off-site.

David
