Gene, I just fired up a Jessie VM here, and see that the default greeter is "lightdm-gtk-greeter". There is a sample config file in: /usr/share/doc/lightdm-gtk-greeter/sample-lightdm-gtk-greeter.css Try to have a look at that, and possibly /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf if necessary.
