I just updated my unstable system. It was set to not lock my screen upon suspend/resume, and it still is. However, now it locks after resuming anyway. I'm using xfce but am running Gnome screensaver for certain reasons, which I suspect is related to the problem. I'm guessing gnome-screensaver simply no longer respects whatever setting the xfce settings system is changing. I assumed that there would be some kind of setting for this in gnome-control-panel, but there isn't anything related to screensaver, nor do any of the Power settings seem to have any bearing on locking.

Is there any way to get gnome screensaver to not lock on suspend/resume?

Thanks,
Matt Ventura
