The Wheezy default desktop is GNOME. Gene is asking about KDE. If he didn't select the alternative desktop environment then KDE won't have been installed but will have GNOME by default. The alternative desktop selection is odd that it must happen up front. I wish it were part of tasksel instead. Someone may need to walk Gene through installing KDE. Bob
