From Jarle's description, he doesn't seem to get this far. It rather looks like it's a problem in GRUB/bootloader or the initramfs. It's a bit hard to tell with the amount of information we have so far. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
