My apologies to Martin, Ric and Florent who tried to help me
out on VLC. I had not rebooted in a couple days (I suspend most nights)
so new stuff wasn't getting used properly (or at all). When I did, VLC
started working again. Sorry for the noise guys.
I'll leave quietly now :)
