I have been able to install the latest version of Sigil in Jessie by
following these instructions:
http://code.google.com/p/sigil/wiki/RunningFromSource#Compiling_on_Linux

Debian still has QT4.8, so the needed QT5 is installed in /opt here,
taking up about 1.5 GB.
It is a temporary solution until QT5 is available in Debian, but if you
consider this too much overkill, there is an alternative: the Windows
version of Sigil works very well in Wine.
