I have vlc running on squeeze LTS. Looks like it comes from Debian
multimedia packages maintainers
<pkg-multimedia-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org> so you'll
likely have to add the http://www.deb-multimedia.org oldstable main
repo to your sources list.
