Thanks list for all the information on SquirrelMail. I decided since installing blosxom from testing was straight-forward, I'd do the SquirrelMail upgrade that way as well. So, a quick "apt-get install squirrelmail/testing" and SM1.4.2 is up and running.
I did lose the funky SquirrelMail logo, but think that is just in my configuration. A little tweaking, and we should be good to go.
