Before I go checking the Debian-User archives, my computer has no problem playing music off Clementine, playing youtube videos with sound, playing sound off mplayer and smplayer, etc. Expecially when I uninstall pulseaudio. My only problem is that Skype's config facility to choose sound output lists nothing with Pulseaudio not installed, and only Pulseaudio with pulseaudio installed.
