Hello,
this driver is build-in.
When I try to load this I get the following error:

/dev# /sbin/modprobe ips
ERROR: could not insert 'ips': No such device

I have a /dev/sda and a /dev/sdb (USB-HDD) but no more HDD's.

That did you mean with:
Verify if proper devices are created in /dev and mounted on your filesystem
