In case its of any help, I experienced the error message yesterday while dist-upgrading from Wheezy to Jessie. It rolled by several dozen times as I watched the upgrade process in Aptitude. When I tried to do as instructed, I realized that the command didn't have a path, and sure enough I could not find it. I decided to ignore it since the worst that could happen was yet another unscheduled re-install as OP was expecting. But, so far, Jessie is functioning no worse than Wheezy for me. Except that I have no sound where I did definitely have sound with Wheezy. Oh well... Also I have email, which is good for getting help. I also hate webmail. But I can't accept help now. I have errands to run before the weekend. And maybe, just maybe, some kind developer/maintainer has already fix my sound problem and it will be gone when I get home from errand running. -- Paul E Condon pecon...@mesanetworks.net -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
