Not only that, but I don't think a day goes by when I don't switch to a VT to do CLI stuff, or even to kill X because X hung (not so much in Debian, but in other distros). I'd rather shut down the computer when I leave to go to the bathroom than set it up so I couldn't Ctrl+Alt+F3 to get a CLI environment any time I wanted.
