Please post the complete command and complete English messages you get. LANG=C command or LC_ALL=C command should cause English messages.

I'm receiving emails with Evolution, use an editor to write mails and temporarily sent mails using $ cat debian.reply.1.mail | msmtp -a default debian-user@lists.debian.org Test mails sent to myself only, seem to work better that way, there might be several issues, some caused by my provider, others by Evolution.
