Hi guys, I'm back. Thanks for the advise, it worked, part way. I ran apt-get install xserver-xfree86. Now the problem seems to start at: (--) Assigning device section with no busID to primary device (EE) No device detected.
Fatal server error: no screen found X connection to :0.0 broken ( explicit kill or server shutdown). I have run apt-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 and set the busID to PCI:1:0:0 (as seen on a google search) also PCI:01:00:00 with above results. the lspci gives me 01:0.0 for this card. I have not been able to reconcile this to the given formula PCI:nn:nn:nn. I have completely reloaded the OS again thinking I had done something wrong.
