No; it wouldn't list files starting with '.'.  That whole line of
experimentation also fails on any filename with a space in it.
 

Thanks for trimming that so well!  I wonder how much the bandwidth on 
this list would be improved if every one else trimmed their posts this 
well!  That was a big hint for those of you who didn't trim anything in 
this thread!
