Hello All, Yesterday, when attempting to perform a system update, I got a complete set of Hash sum mismatch errors. I wasn't worried, as this sort of thing occasionally happens and sorts itself out.
Today, I got the same issue. So, I tried to update a second machine, which uses the same servers, and that all went smoothly. So, it seems the problem is local to this machine rather than at the server end. Searching for hints on the 'net has left me none the wiser, as everything I found was along the lines of "Wait, it'll sort itself out". I usually use Synaptic, but as an alternative, I tried an "apt-get update" which reported the same errors. I'm now at a loss as to where to look for errors. Any help would be gratefully received. -- Regards _ / ) "The blindingly obvious is / _)rad never immediately apparent" Never much liked playing there anyway Banned From The Roxy - Crass
