(maybe they have hammered out a workaround), and secondly, check out
MATE or Cinnamon.
Thank you. I was getting really weirded out because every time I
googled one of the syslog error messages, I ran straight into a
discussion of, for example, nvidia drivers or some such video
hardware conversation.
