You may be confusing me with comments made by others. I wasn't the one with the Flash version 11.8 or newer problem. For the most part I do abandon Flash. As much as I can and with prejudice! I normally run my browser with Flashblock and Noscript. I only turn either of those on as a last resort. But yes it is hard to avoid proprietary protocols. Tax forms are in PDF. Videos are in Flash, or worse Silverlight. Audio files are in closed codecs. There are a half a dozen items that are very hard to be completely functional without using nonfree software. We can't give up fighting against this trend or it will only be worse. Bob
