It depends upon what type of information you are looking to obtain? What are you looking for? If I just want to see live bandwidth use then I have been getting good use out of tcptrack running on a routing machine. tcptrack -i eth2 There is also 'iftop'. iftop -i eth2 Otherwise tcpdump for many things. > Especially if it can be made to work on win7 as well.
