Hello debian-user, I've recently installed Debian 7.3 with GNOME from a live DVD, and I seem to be having problems with modifier keys.
I have two layouts. <alt+shift> is defined as the layout switching sequence. When I <alt+tab> between windows and then I add the shift to reverse the switcher, the layout is changed instead of the switcher going backwards. It happens with other key sequences as well. All the the key sequences work if I hit <shift+alt> before, so this made me thought: Is Xorg stealing my alt+shift modifier; thus not letting GNOME do it's magic? To increase my suspicion, even though I tried adding the <alt+alt> layout switching sequence through the gnome-shell GUI, it didn't work. <alt+shift> keeps working. Some magic: $ setxkbmap -query rules: evdev model: pc105 layout: us,il variant: ,lyx options: nbsp:level3,lv3:ralt_switch,grp:alt_shift_toggle,grp:alts_toggle Thanks, Amir
