Yes, that did it! I'd tried to get rid of apt-listbugs before with `aptitude remove apt-listbugs`, but kept getting that error message. Was wondering what lower-level approach would make sense...somehow overlooked dpkg. Familiarizing myself with the ways of dpkg now.
