Well, in those ldap-account-manager.* files I have instead #/bin/sh -e the lines: #!/bin/bash set -e so if I replace all occurance of the 'set -e' with the '#set -e', save those files and run sudo apt-get --purge remove ldap-account-manager I can finally purge the ldap-account-manager debian package. But, now I can't to install it again! sudo apt-get install ldap-account-manager Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information...
