The above is true only if you're using Xorg--any version, I assume--or XFree86
version 4.4.0 or greater. Otherwise, it's needed along with additional modules
loaded. This is stated in the nvidia-glx docs installed with the driver in
/usr/share/doc/nvidia-glx/html. Just got around to reading those yesterday.
