The one I used (http://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers) was last updated
Jan 2013. So, it's reasonably current. (Other wikis I've read on the subject,
primarily Arch and Gentoo, are not as current.)
The Debian wiki listed several methods to enabe the nvidia driver, including
nvidia-xconfig. It also cautioned against using it due to a bug. I can find
no reference to the bug being fixed. So, I've opted for writing my own minimal
xorg.conf or using the output of Xorg -configure as a template and making the
recommended changes and additions: this week's project.
